St.Stephen Child Care Project – (Nursery and Primary School)
This Project comprises of mostly underprivileged children and orphans from the nearby communities around Suguku (Entebbe Road).
This project was effectively implemented in January 2006 in a small papyrus classroom with 7 pupils who were left at home due to financial inability to afford basic education by their parents and guardians. The team members identified what has now has become a potential child care Center steadily growing with now 55 committed regular pupils facilitated by a team of volunteer teachers and caretakers. To date the center has acquired a sizable land measuring 147 ft width and 49ft wide. It’s on this land that we intend to develop permanent structures that will provide classrooms and administration block, where these future potential leaders will learn, get social support and care.
